¿What is PSH?
Podemos ser Heroes is a program developed in Costa Rica, the country where the headquarters of the Fundacion para la Jueventud el Ambiente y los Deportes (YFSE). Through this, the organization seeks to encourage conscious people to participate as volunteers in the development of this program, which consists of completing a five-year forestation cycle during the months of each Central American winter. Those interested in collaborating with the rescue and protection of forests, by participating in the volunteering of the program Podemos ser Heroes, must select the option Apply to the Program and complete the application form that appears there, in order to coordinate their participation and ensure the same at www.podemosserheroes.yfse.org The program includes:
- Advice on the species to reforest.
- Website available 24 hours a day
- Internship/volunteer – 3 days per week.
- Recreational-educational activities.
- Sending Certificate of Participation in the Program.
- Newsletter with the latest information on the progress of the program in the Isthmus.
- Direct access to the site specialized in reforestation (forestsguardians.com)
Be a HEROE
Those interested in collaborating with the rescue and protection of forests, through participation in volunteering in the Podemos ser Heroes program, must complete the following form. The program includes:

Requirements
Some of the basic requirements to participate in Podemos ser HEROES are:
- Cover the costs of the trees to be reforested, as well as fertilizer and maintenance.
- Study and consult on the species to be reforested according to altitude, fertility of the land, place where the trees will be planted, fertile seed, special fertilizer for the chosen species, as well as correct constant maintenance once the trees are planted.
- Have appropriate tools for optimal reforestation of the species.
- Send photographic archive and reports of the renovation process
